EventOur Business Development Manager, Redzal Mohamad took part in the 25th Indonesia Rendezvous, a Reinsurance conference traditionally took place in Bali on the 16-18 October 2019.
Indonesia Insurance Forum is one of the largest industry conferences in South-East Asia. This year, more than 500 representatives of insurance and connected businesses from Malaysia, India, Japan, Singapore and other countries participated in the event.
The reporters gave a lot of attention to economic losses due to natural disasters. Indonesia is on the 4th place after China, India and Japan totalling annual losses caused by all types of natural disasters. Therefore, in the near future there will be an urgent need for a more accurate scientific prediction of possible loss and its minimization using various insurance mechanisms.
Another important issue of the conference covered the integration of Information Technology in insurance. According to the reporters, InsurTech will become a useful insurance tool in the near future.
