Mandarin Re Welcomes Carla Rodríguez to the Team

Mandarin Re is pleased to announce the addition of Carla Rodríguez Basaldua to its underwriting team.

Carla joins Mandarin Re with over a decade of experience in property and facultative reinsurance, bringing extensive expertise in underwriting, policy administration, and client relationship management across Latin America.

Prior to joining Mandarin Re, Carla held key roles at Odyssey Re, AXA XL, and XL Catlin, where she specialized in property underwriting, renewal management, and regional program coordination. Her professional background spans diverse markets, including Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and the Caribbean, working closely with brokers, cedants, and reinsurance partners to deliver efficient and client-focused solutions

Carla holds a degree in Actuarial Science from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), with additional diplomas in Finance and Computational Technologies and Insurance (P&C).
