Mandarin Re Ltd. has officially opened applications for an Underwriter position as part of its continued expansion of the underwriting team. The successful candidate will support profitable portfolio growth across treaty and/or facultative reinsurance business.

This opportunity is suited to professionals with strong analytical judgment, solid technical underwriting expertise, and the ability to build effective working relationships with brokers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessing and underwriting treaty and/or facultative reinsurance submissions
Analyzing risk exposure, loss experience, and pricing models
Negotiating terms and conditions with brokers and cedants
Managing and monitoring portfolio performance
Preparing underwriting reports and internal approval documentation
Collaborating with actuarial, claims, finance, and risk teams
Monitoring market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics
Supporting strategic and business development initiatives

Profile and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related field
Professional qualifications such as CII, CPCU, or ARe will be an advantage
Relevant experience in insurance or reinsurance underwriting
Strong understanding of reinsurance structures and underwriting principles
Experience with pricing tools and catastrophe modeling is desirable
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
